Insight Arena: The Digital Living Room

The lines have been drawn in the battle for the digital living room, but strategies and execution are obscure. Players are lining up with their first generation in-home hubs to coordinate a myriad of devices, formats, content and services. It's a free-for-all involving the biggest names in cable, satellite, telecom, game consoles, and content management devices. It all comes down to what consumers want. This panel examined the high stakes, players, issues and consumer demand.

Our panel was moderated by Diane Mermigas, Editor-at-Large of MediaPost and panelists included: Evan Young, Director of Broadband Services for TiVo, Inc.; Allan McLennan, President of PADEM Group; Salil Dalvi, General Manager of Wireless at NBC Universal; and Blair Westlake, Corporate VP for the Media & Entertainment Group at Microsoft Corp.
