As Executive Director of both the USC Engineering Technology Transfer Center (ETTC) and Western Research Application Center (WESRAC), Ken Dozier is responsible for the direction of ETTC, which manages academic, federal and commercial intellectual property portfolios. The ETTC is NASA's designated Far West Regional Technology Transfer Center (RTTC) with affiliate offices in the eight western states. The ETTC gained national recognition when it received the 1999 Justin Morrill from the Technology Transfer Society for innovation.

Dozier is responsible for business development and budget management for all ETTC programs in accordance with objectives and practices of NASA, the School of Engineering and USC. Dozier is the primary liaison with NASA, the Federal Laboratory Consortium, and many other Federal, State and Local agencies. Prior to his position at USC, he was the California Director of Advanced Competitive Technologies from 1995 to 1997 where he was responsible for the direction of twelve California Advanced Technology Centers. From 1990 to 1995, he was the Director of Research at the School of Engineering and Technology at Cal State Los Angeles, where he also taught many electrical engineering courses.

Mr. Dozier was the President and CEO of Interactive Machines, Inc. in Westlake Village, California from 1984 to 1989. He transformed this negative net worth research and development firm into a profitable computer graphics hardware manufacturing company capitalizing on the demand in the aerospace flight simulation industry for advanced real-time computer graphic systems. International motion picture and television special effect companies also adopted this equipment as their primary computer graphic systems.

From 1982 to 1984, Dozier was Vice President of Operations and Executive Technical Director of Digital Productions, the world’s first digital production facility for motion pictures and television. DP was awarded the first Academy Award for Technical Excellence in the field of computer graphics in 1984 for its work on the motion picture “The Last Starfighter”.

Ken Dozier was a member of the Technical Staff of Hughes Aircraft in Los Angeles from 1978 to 1982. He was also a member of the Technical Staff at Rockwell International in Seal Beach, Ca. from 1975 to 1978.

Mr. Dozier received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles in 1976, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1982, Master of Business Administration from University of California, Los Angeles, Graduate School of Management in 1991 and abd Ph.D. in Information Sciences at The Claremont Graduate School.
