Robert Solomon has served as President of Ascent Media Creative Services since 2003. In his role, Solomon oversees day-to-day operations and global strategy for the more than three dozen renowned sound, media and post production facilities in the United States, Mexico and the United Kingdom that comprise the Creative Services Group. He previously served as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to Ascent Media Group, Solomon served as Chief Financial Officer of MSCL Inc., a company for which he consulted for the previous nine years. He was one of the individuals responsible for the sale of MSCL to Four Media Company, where he worked alongside Larry Chernoff, managing what is now called Ascent Media Creative Services. In addition to assisting the divisions with day-to-day business and operational issues, Solomon was also responsible for developing the long-term strategic business plan.

It was in the early 1980s that Solomon started assisting companies in the emerging industry of video post-production. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he consulted with many post-production companies in meeting their financing, strategic, and business objectives. In his role as Head of Governmental Affairs for HPA in Southern California, Solomon has assisted the post-production industry in obtaining various legislative and tax benefits while actively working with other entertainment industry groups in representing the industry on national and local issues.

After beginning his career with a national accounting firm, Bob started his own firm with several associates in 1984. The firm went on to become one of the largest local accounting firms in Los Angeles. During his tenure in public accounting, Solomon was Senior Partner in charge of taxation, managed the information technology department, and provided financial and business consulting to closely held businesses. He also consulted with companies on business turnarounds financing, and mergers & acquisitions.

Solomon graduated summa cum laude from California State University at Northridge with a degree in accounting, and received a master's degree in business taxation from the University of Southern California. Bob is a CPA and a certified financial planner.
